The Faculty at SESE

Hongyu Yu works on MicroElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS) for Earth and Space applications and holds the joint position between SESE and Electrical Engineering. The research he is interested in includes wireless sensing systems, microfluidic analysis systems, acoustic transducers and micro fuel cells. The goal of his research is to provide miniaturized portable platforms and instruments for Earth, Planet and Space scientists to study a variety of projects, such as seismology, biogeochemistry, astrobiology, and volcanology.
